What is a Matcha Latte?
A Matcha Latte is essentially Usucha mixed with any preferred milk and, often times, with sweetener. This achieves a smoother, sweeter version of matcha, compared to the traditional Usucha, that is the best way to be introduced to matcha.

Ingredients
- 1–2 teaspoons matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary-grade for lattes)
- 30–60 ml hot water (75–80°C or 167–176°F)
- 180–240 ml milk (dairy or any plant milk)
- Sweetener (optional): sugar, honey, vanilla syrup, brown sugar syrup, simple syrup

Step-by-step process on how to make Matcha Lattes
1. Sift and whisk matcha
Sift in the 1-2 teaspoons of Matcha powder and the hot water into the Chawan or any bowl. Using the Chasen (Bamboo Whisk) mix together the Matcha powder and the water until there are no more lumps and it is completely smooth.
2. Fill a glass with Ice and add in the Milk
Once the Matcha is prepared fill any glass up with Ice and add any Milk of choice.
3. Sweeten the Drink
Add any syrup, sugar, or sweetener of choice to balance out the flavors.
4. Pour matcha over the Milk and Ice
To top it all off, pour the Matcha over the Milk and enjoy a good cup of Matcha Latte.
